This courtyard garden is a small part of a much larger garden surrounding a charming stone house. The clients had plans to extend the garage, taking up some of the courtyard space and wanted help to redefine the space. Jessica’s design replaced the existing tired grass with paving chosen to blend with the Cotswold stone of the house and new garage wall. Old style bricks break up the space and give the small area a wider feel. A Cretan pot focuses the eye inside the garden. Sensitive lighting creates an outside room and gives inviting views from inside the house. Jessica designed the planting to provide plenty of form and texture.
